Contest information:
The winner of the last contest is “Matthew Keith”. He will be emailed within a week of this video’s post date (to the email he included in the comment form).

For the next contest, create a new Nerf battle game type. it can be any number of players, and can have various rules. Assume indoor conditions, but anything will be accepted. The team will be testing these game types in battle before a winner is decided. To enter, leave a comment on this page. Be sure to use the email you want to be contacted at! Good luck!

The winner will receive a free Nerf blaster of his/her choice. We will choose the winner on May 30th, in the next episode of NS News. If you are under 13, ask your parents/legal guardians before entering. This contest is open internationally (we will ship to international winners, no cost). The winner will be sent an email to the email provided when commenting. If the winner does not respond within 2 weeks of notice (after 3 attempts) we will choose another winner. You do not need to pick a blaster until we contact you.

I’m not really sure what to call this… Ultimate test of nerfliness? idk. Just a note, this is an EXTREMELY long-term game mode that would take over a day at least, but I think it would be cool if you guys tried it.

Basically, it’s a test to see who is the best fighter, what the best load out is, and which gun is the best in its category (heavy, pistol, rifle, SMG, melee, any others you can think of) [also, you can test the different gun series, Dart Tag, N-Strike/N-Strike Elite/Mega, Vortex, Rebelle). You take all of your group’s guns, put them into categories based on size & style (basically the categories you used for your “Which should I get” series), then take one from each category. (e.g.: large heavy–Swarmfire, medium large rifle–Stockade, medium smg–Stryfe, medium-small pistol–Hammershot, small melee–dagger from stonewall shield set). You then do one battle, write down who won & with what load out, then swap out weapons. Repeat as many times as you need, depending on how many guns & people you have. (just a side note– you can make it a little simpler by keeping basically the same load out & only changing one weapon at a time, i.e. only changing the medium smg or the melee weapon, after which you change only another type. eventually, though, you will have to change everything out, but it’s relatively easy if you use some sort of table or graph. I think it would be pretty fun, and a good way to spend a summer day // put off what you’re supposed to be doing.

Also, in case you’re the adventurous type and/or have access to multiple locations, you can also use different settings such as a house, woods, desert rock formations, warehouse, etc., to see what type of situation everyone is best in. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY AND WOULD TAKE EVEN MORE TIME, but if you have absolutely nothing else to do, go for it.

After a long day of battles, graphs, and load out-testing, you now know who is the best fighter, which weapon type everyone’s best with, which specific gun everyone did best with, and what the optimum load out is. you can also use it as a way to develop strategies and/or attack formations, and see what position everyone should be in for a war (e.g. sniper, scout, assault, etc.)
(sorry if it’s a bit confusing, it made more sense in my head :P)

p.s.: brownie points to whoever finds the correct number of abbreviations i used in this post and actually read the entire thing. Points are legal tender for absolutely nothing, and are only symbolic of your prowess in attention-paying. NO RE-READS ALLOWED (within five minutes and twelve seconds. just to confuse you guys. ;)

    Have fun!

  2. Owen Chance says:

Hey guys, in my game there are two teams and one neutral player, each player has infinite lives, but once hit must return to a designated respawn point. Whenever a team finds the neutral player they receive information about the other teams defenses, meaning the enemy teams players have 4 lives instead of infinite. So, in short, the goal is to find the neutral player as fast as possible in order to eliminate the other team. (Teams can guard the player once found, since you have to touch the player to make the enemy weak, forgot to mention that XD)

  3. RGnerf says:

Each team has about five to six players. Choose one person on the team to be the leader and protect them the whole game. Choose any spot for the “base” and have the leader be in the room. The goal is to defeat the leader on the other team. The leader has five lives and the other players get unlimited lives. Pick a spot for the players to respawn. When you are hit, put your hands up to notify the others that you are going to the respawn area. The leader may have a gun to protect themselves. Also any strategies may be used. But no grabbing other’s blasters to attack. The first team to defeat the other leader wins.

  4. Peter says:

You guys should make a sniper death match where there are 5 people on one side and 5 on the other

    Hello NERFSOCOM crew,
So I participate in that battle type competition thing, followed are the rules and stuff.

    Name: Assassins and Executes
Players: 2 vs 2/5 vs 5/7 vs 7… ****no matter how much people, people shall be equal****
    Take time: best[4:00-7:30 am/pm]
Teams: 2 will be the best, but 3 will do too, try to do around 2-3 , that will be most efficient
    Place: indoors/outdoors both ok

how to play: so that both teams have to protect a thing and not let the enemy team get it, and that no matter howthey protect it, it must not be hidden in secret places like toilets and somewhere out of that street, alsounderground hiding is not acceptable(except basement).

losing or out: if a people from A team is shot by B team member 1 two times,he is out. But if that guys is shot by B team member 1& 2 each one time, he is still in the game.

zombies: So people disqualified or lost is a zombie. Zombies can destroy both teams’ treasure(the thing protected) with only a pistol and a sword. So that even people that lost the game can play after losing too. Zombies can only be ‘killed’ shot in the head. Killed zombies can be supplying darts to the teams

Disqualified: people who are not using Nerf blasters or not respecting the rules will be disqualified
Rules: 1.time limit: 1-1.5 hr 2. grenades are acceptable 3. SBDs are acceptable 4. no saliva ammo acceptable 5. both teams must change blasters to firefly tech blasters or clips and ammo and use torches when the sun is down

Winning : when the time is up, the team that has the most people and the team that can come out with the treasure is winning( if A team has most people and B team can keep the treasure nicely, that will be counted as a tie ).

  8. Ethan says:

Het Nerf Socom. You guys are the best. So now my game mode is you have two people at the end of the room guarding a flag in a basket (can be a piece of fabric or cloth) and then you can have eight other people trying to get the flag out of the basket by sneaking up on them. The only way the guards can get out is by them running out of ammo. The only way the other eight people can get out is by getting shot. If the guards run out of ammo the other people have basically won because they just have to grab the flag. So I hope you guys enjoy my game. See ya!

  9. Tristan Weatherly says:

My game mode is called Terminator you can have up to eleven people in a game. There is one person who is called the terminator the only way to kill him is to shoot him in the head. The other people work together to do so. The terminator gets a gun that holds lots of ammo the other people get pistols such as the firestrike or the sidestrike or the pathfinder. Really any small pistol works vortex as we’ll for the terminator or the other people. The other people die if they get shot anywhere. The terminator kills everyone he wins but if the team shoots the terminator in the head they win. You can also divide the teams into two and have which ever team shoots the terminator in the head first wins or like before the terminator could kill everyone first. Indoor or outdoor depending on the amount of people.

  10. Nick says:

My game mode is called One-Flag CTF. A big, open area with cover around it is the best place to play. Teams can be anywhere from two to ten and MUST BE EVEN.
    – The flag is placed in the middle of the open area. The goal is to get the flag and return it to the enemy base, across the battlefield.
    – The rules can change to fit whatever mood the group is in; pistols only, Vortex only, no electric powered boasters, etc.
